TRIBUTE BY JONATHAN ADDO QUAYENORTEY
Goodbye My Brother!!!
From the very first time we met at the parking lot of the then Ghana Highway Authority Headquarters – Technology Building in our most beloved City Accra you have always welcomed me into your circle with that infectious broad sunshine smile that will be forever missed. Your engaging personality and self-assurance was a gem to behold. Your confidence and buoyancy always reminded me of the beautifully crafted canoes riding the ocean waves of our hometown fishing villages. You were a great listener yet full of expression; you were the life of the party yet you let others shine; you were a thoughtful person yet light-hearted with an ease laughter; you were also the curious George, always asking the probing questions. Your I-can-do and entrepreneurial spirit is very much admired.
Your sudden departure has left us in total shock and attempting to make sense of it all. One thing I am very certain of is that you never short-changed any of us. Nobody that ever met you will say they don’t remember George. You always gave us your all and for that I am forever grateful.
Your visit to the Rockies several months ago and the couple of days we spent together has become even more precious. I chuckled when you said to the waiter at the DIA Bistro “make my French fries crispy please” On that note I will always order my French Fries crispy in your remembrance. The bright light you have left us will forever shine brighter through your wonderful family and all of us your beloved friends and well-wishers.
Rest in Perfect Peace my Brother!!!
