TRIBUTE BY FELLOWS OF KATANGA (University Hall) KNUST

“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord;
and whether we die, we die unto the Lord:
whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's”
- Roman 8:14

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time
- Wadsworth Longfellow

It is with deep sense of inconsolable grief, great pain, anguish, and utter shock that we pay this tribute to our departed Fellow Katangee, brother, and friend.

CeeNova as we called him, was in KNUST University Hall (Katanga) from 1981-1986. He was affable and had a warm personality that endeared him to many. A good mixer, he was very sociable with a profound sense of humor. George was generous to a fault and never hesitated to assist others who called on him for help. His sense of humor livened our gatherings; ensuring camaraderie on our social media platforms.

CeeNova, we will surely miss your jokes and pranks. As we struggle to come to terms with your loss, we take consolation that you have transitioned to a better life. We have been robbed by Death and as we part company with our cherished Fellow, we pray the good Lord grant him eternal rest and keep him in His bosom till we meet again on Resurrection Day.

When the day of toil is done,
When the race of life is run,
Father, grant Thy wearied one
Rest forevermore.
-John Ellerton
