TRIBUTE BY SIBLINGS & COUSINS

PSALM 73:26

"My flesh and my heart may fail
But God is the strength of my heart
And, my portion forever."

How can we find the words to say how much we have missed you, already? Although we loved you dearly, we still could not hold on to you to make you to stay with us any longer than the Lord himself had allowed.

Your golden heart stopped beating so unexpectedly to our utter shock and dismay. The timing, we do not understand either. All we have left is the sweet memories of the times we grew up and shared together. In the good and the bad times.

Both as children and as grown-ups, we remember when we were playing football, George always elected himself to play all fouls, including penalties. He scored most of the penalties he took with his favorite left leg, but when he missed it, he always encouraged his teammates not to give up because they will definitely win. He has exhibited this good spirit in whatever he did on this earth. Nothing seemed to be impossible for him, he didn’t accept no for an answer.

If something didn’t go right, the way he expected, he kept trying until he succeeded. He gave the same advice and encouragement to us, his wife and children, friends, and anyone he came into contact with. Whatever problems or issues one presented to him, he always calmed you down and then asked you not to worry, because the problem will be resolved, and truly speaking, he made sure it was resolved, no matter what it took. He was always prepared to sacrifice what he had, just to make one happy.

When we were eating with him, he would pick the best part of the meat and drop it your plate to eat. He did all these because he truly loved people, and trusted, and had faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and our Almighty God. What a selflessness and loving brother we have lost.

To say you were sweet, friendly, and accommodating of everyone around you, is an understatement. You truly loved people and was a fine example of a people’s person. Those were beautiful and shining examples for us all, and, we will miss them so much.

Hardworking hands at rest. George, we reckon that God broke our hearts to prove to us, that he only takes the best and we understand that. You may be gone, and not physically here anymore but you still live on, in our hearts, forever.

Dearest Brother, Cousin, Friend and sweet companion, fare thee well.
George, we will miss you more than words can express.
Rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord, until we meet again.

George, Kpoo oong,
George, Yaawo ojogbanng.
